Mirza Asad-Ullah Beg Khan alias "Ghalib" was a great poet in Urdu and Persian language. These are considered to be the greatest shirs of Urdu language and are credited for popularizing the flow of Persian poetry in the Hindustani language. The letter written by Ghalib, which was not published at that time, is also considered an important document of Urdu writing. Ghalib is known as an important poet in India and Pakistan. He got the title of Debir-ul-Mulk and Najm-ud-daula. Mirza, who wrote Ghalib, was also the court poet of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last ruler of the Mughal period. Ghalib, who spent his life in Agra, Delhi and Calcutta, is remembered primarily for his Urdu ghazals.
Ghalib was born in Agra, in a family with a military background. He lost his father and uncle in his childhood, the life of Ghalib was originally from the posthumous pension of his uncle. (He was a military officer in the British East India Company). Ghalib's background was from a Turk family and his grandfather came to India from Somarkand in Central Asia around 1750. His grandfather Mirza Koban Beg Khan came to India from Samarkand during the reign of Ahmad Shah. He worked in Delhi, Lahore and Jaipur and finally settled in Agra. He had two sons and three daughters. Mirza Abdullah Beg Khan and Mirza Nasrullah Beg Khan had two sons.
Mirza Abdullah Bagh Khan [Father of Mirza Ghalib] married a Kashmiri girl Izzat-e-Nisa Begum and she started living in her in-laws house. He first worked in Nawab of Lucknow and later Nizam of Hyderabad. He died during the war in Alwar in 1803, and Mirza Ghalib was only five years old at that time. Uncle Mirza, Nasrullah Bag Khan, nurtured them.
His ancestors used to live in Turkey. His father used to work in Nawab of Lucknow, but in 1803 he died, after which his uncle extended his life to the younger. Since the age of 11, Mirza started writing poetry. Mirza married Umrao Begum at the age of 13. Mirza Sahib worked in Lahore, Jaipur, Delhi, later they started coming to Agra. He used to write his every composition in the name of Mirza or Ghalib, hence his name became famous. After the Bahadur Shah Zafar came to power in 1850, Mirza Ghalib was appointed as the Chief Court. Raja was also interested in poetry, in 1854, Mirza started teaching them poetry. When the Mughal army was defeated by the British Raj in 1857, the entire empire was destroyed. Mirza Sahab had also stopped meeting his income at this time.
At the age of only 13, he was married to Umrao Begum, daughter of Nawab Elahi Baksh. After that he settled in Delhi with his younger brother Mirza Yusuf Khan but due to a brain sickness of his younger brother, he died at the peak age Done. Their seven children had died before they were born. They thought this sadness would end with life. He also mentioned it in a poem. Ghalib used to get a habit of kite, chess and gambling in his childhood, but on the other hand, the benefit of the benefit of elderly people of high rank was found. The educated mother taught Ghalib at home, due to which she could not get regular education. He received the early education of Persian from Agra, the famous scholar of the time, 'Maulvi Mohammed Mojajam'. Astrologers, logic, philosophy, music and mysticism etc. have got some introduction. Ghalib's eclipse power was so intense that he not only studied Persian poets such as jhuri but started studying himself. Rather, write ghazals in Persian also.
It is said that in the atmosphere where Ghalib was brought up, he was inspired to become a shayar. At that time, Ghalib, who lived in Ghalib, was the center of learning of Persian language at that time. There was one scholar of Mullah Wali Muhammad, his son Shamsul Zuha, Mohammed Badruddinja, Azam Ali and Mohammad Kamal etc., there lived there. He started Shayari at the age of 10 but by the time he was 25, he had become a great shayr. Ghalib became famous as a popular poet during his lifetime. His fame spread far and wide in the 19th and 20th centuries as the best shire of Urdu and Persian and he became very popular in the Arab and other countries. Ghalib's poem is a yearning, a desire and a Kashish prediction. Which easily touches the reader's mind.
In 1850, Shahanshah Bahadur Shah Zafar awarded the title Mirza Ghalib to "Debir-ul-Mulk" and "Najm-ud-Daula". Later he also got the title of "Mirza Noshha". He was an important courtier in the court of the King. He was also appointed teacher of the eldest son of Prince Prince Fak-ud-Din Mirza of Bahadur Shah Zafar 2. He was also one of the imperial historians of the Mughal court at a time.
Ghalib was very respected in the Mughal court and he used to write a poem on them, who used to adore them. He died on 15 February 1869 in Delhi. Ghalib, who lived in Old Delhi, was called Ghalib's Haveli and later he was turned into a monument. Ghalib's grave was made near Nizamuddin Oliya in Delhi's Nizamuddin area.
